Kristin Fisher joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent for Space and Defense she covers everything starting from NASA to the newly created Space Force as well as commercial space firms as well as space tourism. Kristin was born into the field of space as the daughter and granddaughter of NASA astronauts. In the past five years, she has reported on space policy during the Biden and Trump Administrations in FOX News. The reporter also reported on the presidential election in 2020 and efforts by two administrations in fighting the coronavirus. Additionally, she was on numerous trips with President and Vice President, including a top secret visit to Afghanistan with former President Donald Trump. Kristin was a television reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded the Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter before being hired by CBS in 2015. Kristin is also an experienced filmmaker, established Field Mouse Films, a business that specialises in documentary style films, for clients such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor in Science in Journalism that she received from Boston University. She and her husband, who is three years old, daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
